The Pittsburgh Steelers Could Avoid Browns QB
The Cleveland Browns backup could play against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Due to a potential shoulder injury, Deshaun Watson of the Cleveland Browns may find himself on Injured Reserve, saving the Pittsburgh Steelers from facing him again this season.
Watson’s shoulder issue kept him out of the Browns’ Weeks 5 and 6. After that, he made a comeback in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts, but he was sacked in the first quarter and had to leave.
Because of the blow, he was assessed for a concussion but was eventually cleared. He was still out, though, and head coach Kevin Stefanski explained that it was because he was being careful.
Due to his shoulder, there are now doubts about Watson’s ability to play in the near future. Stefanski said the squad is taking things day by day when asked if Watson would wind up on injured reserve.
The quarterback for the Browns will miss at least the next four weeks if he is placed on injured reserve. Week 12, the week following the Browns’ game against the Steelers, is his first week of eligibility to return.

Watson threw an interception in addition to finishing 22 of 40 passes for 235 yards and a touchdown in their first meeting. After T.J. Watt scored and scooped the game-winning catch, Pittsburgh defeated Cleveland 26–22.
Kenny Pickett, the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, had a rough first two and a half quarters.
They had only accumulated 110 yards overall and 10 points at the beginning of the fourth quarter, largely because of a well timed interception by T.J. Watt that placed them in position to score.
But with a 17-10 deficit going into the fourth quarter, Kenny Pickett’s flawless passing enabled the Steelers to tie the score then win it by rushing touchdowns in a 24-17 triumph over the Los Angeles Rams. Pickett completed all seven of his passes for 138 yards.
The Steelers T.J. Watt Esteems Darren Pickett
Watt wasn’t shocked by Pickett’s ability to show up when the chips were down, as his own outstanding play was a major factor in the second-half comeback.
“He’s still getting bigger,” Watt stated. “His moxie has never changed. In crucial moments, he can rise to the occasion and never backs down.
Watt continued by saying that Pickett’s preparation for those kinds of moments—the ones in which he excels so frequently—is evident to the entire team. According to Watt, that accomplishment is not coincidental.
