Arshad Ayub Khan, the provincial minister for local government, Peshawar Mayor Haji Zubair Ali, administrative secretaries from the relevant departments, and additional board members were present at the meeting. 33 topics on the agenda were debated in all, which resulted in several significant decisions.

The board approved plans to solarize tube wells under PDA supervision and enlarge and renovate Ring Road, which is estimated to result in an annual savings of Rs810 million on electricity bills.

The board also authorized the action plans for the establishment of PDA’s sub-office in Regi Lalma Model Town and an education complex in the town. Additionally, a number of PDA Act 2017 rules and regulations received conditional approval. Within 14 days, a committee led by the minister of local government will evaluate and make final revisions to these regulations.

Plans to use Public-Private Partnerships to create high-rise structures at other PDA locations were also conditionally approved by the board. Additionally, permission was granted to donate property for a paraplegic center in Regi Model Town and a forensic science laboratory at Hayatabad.

The chief minister gave priority to renovating and beautifying the Bus Rapid Transit gray structure and oversaw the installation of solar lights along the middle median on GT Road from the Peshawar Motorway to Hayatabad.
