A “University Research Scholarship” is available from the Australia National University each year to pursue a PhD or Master’s degree by research, often known as a Higher Degree by Research (HDR). After receiving an admission offer, applicants will automatically be eligible for the ANU Research Scholarship, thus they do not need to apply separately for this one.

The deadline for international students to apply for the ANU Research Scholarship in Round 1 is August 31, 2024. By March 31st of the following year, the classes will start. Citizens of Australia and other countries may apply until October 31, 2024.

Academic merit shall be the basis for awarding the scholarship. Canberra is home to the public university ANU. The university has 10,252 undergraduate students and 7,128 postgraduate students who come from all around Australia and 100 other countries. Additional information is provided below.

The ANU University Research Scholarship’s advantages

• Allowance for travel and removal in connection with moving to Canberra.

• Both domestic and foreign students applying for admission to the HDR Program are eligible for the scholarship.
• The prize will be granted automatically following completion and acceptance into the university.
• The academic record, research potential, future supervisor assistance, referee reviews, and English language proficiency will all be taken into consideration when awarding the fellowship.
