After 7 years Punjab restores laptop scheme
LAHORE: According News, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif approved the restoration of the laptop program for students throughout the province on Friday.
This decision was made today in a meeting that took place in Lahore.
During this occasion, the chief minister stressed how important it is to improve the infrastructure for education, especially in poor areas.
The promotion of higher education, the laptop program, and student transportation options were all covered at the briefing. It also decided to prioritize the establishment of new institutions and universities in underprivileged areas.

It was reported to Maryam Nawaz that there are presently over 650,000 students registered in Punjabi universities, of which 44% are boys and 56% are girls, in both the public and private sectors.
She noted that kids throughout the province are also receiving 20,000 motorcycles.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s proclamation of a “educational emergency,” but she also emphasized the pressing need for extensive reforms in the fields of higher education and education in general.
It is important to note that the laptop program was reinstated in the province following a seven-year hiatus.
